Spring Clean your Wardrobe

The first thing to do is choose a chest of drawers or wardrobe section and pull everything out. Put each item into a category, for example jumpers in one pile, t-shirts in another. Go through each pile and check each item for stains, pulls or other unsightly damage. Decide if the item is worth repairing and if not throw it out! Weed out each pile in this way first.

The next thing to do is to go through what is left in each pile and answer the following questions on each.
A: Does it fit me?
B: Does it suit me?
C: What will I wear it with?

If it meets the above criteria it is probably a keeper but dont stop there. Put the outfit together and put it on as a last test. If it doesnt work then get rid of it. If it does, fabulous, you have a new outfit to wear!

One other thing I do with some of my favorite items even if I dont have something to wear with it is to put it in a bag and take it with me whenever I go shopping. You may just find that special piece that will go with it and can finish off the outfit.

Get some nice selling draw liners and insert them into the base of your drawers.

Fold all the keeper items carefully and put them in categories again. Replace them in your drawers. If you are doing your hanging wardrobe take the time to put them on good quality wooden coat hangers.
